School Resource Officer (SRO)

Patrolman Underwood currently servers as the Boaz Police Department's School Resource Officer. The assignment centers on supporting the Boaz City School System in daily activities to include:

• law enforcement officer;
• law-related counselor;
• law-related education teacher;

Other key elements include the close relationship SROs must create and maintain with principals, teachers and staff and working closely as needed with parents, students, and members of the community.
