MAYOR'S EXECUTIVE SECRETARY

Sheila P. Sanders has worked as the Mayor's Secretary since 1990.  She will be the voice you hear when you call the mayor's office at 256-593-8105.  She manages the mayor's calendar, answers his phone, prepares the agenda for council meetings, updates the mayor's web pages and coordinates with council members when required.  She serves on several county and city boards representing the City and is an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce.  She performs public relation activities to assist the mayor in promoting Boaz.

Sheila has been married to Dan Sanders since 1972.  They have two sons: Jason and Justin.  They live on a farm in Boaz and raise cattle as a hobby.  Sheila enjoys reading, scrapbooking and oil painting.  They are active members at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Sheila is a charter member of Altrusa International, a civic organizations that promotes literacy.  Dan is a member of FOCAS, a Christian fishing organization.
